The ten minute short Jinx! is reasonably clever and amusing, I’d say worth the investment of this small amount of time to watch. A fairly mundane situation gives rise to consequences and plot developments whose humor increases with their ludicrousness.
A little girl is excluded from a game by other bratty little girls. Her protests are met with derision. When she and the unofficial leader of the clique inadvertently speak the same words simultaneously, the quicker thinking arrogant girl blurts out “Jinx!” thereby, according to eternal schoolyard lore, dooming the protagonist to remain silent until the other girl speaks her name, which she smugly refuses to do.
Compounding the problem, the bad girl moves out of state later that same day. Uh oh. Then, “75 years later…”
Anyway, Jinx! is a cute little thing. It’s not something I’d rank as a favorite, but it’s well done for what it is, and I got a chuckle or two out of it.
